I came into this clinic as a student in college around six months ago in December having severe acne with cysts and inflammation. I started working with Gigi, and she has been an EXCELLENT specialist (and encourager and coach too!) and has significantly reduced my acne and inflammation to the point where my skin is now shining and clearer.

The clearer face is one thing, but what I really appreciate is the level of guidance they've given me in my nutrition too. I feel like I've gotten a lot healthier, and Gigi has been really helpful in helping tailor my diet to have clearer skin as well. I also had no idea how much my hormones, stress, and sleep were affecting my acne, and they educated me on that too.

I struggled with hormonal and comedonal acne for 7 years and saw dermatologists twice, but both times I was prescribed harsh actives that damaged my skin barrier and made my skin even more sensitive. After my first visit here, I enrolled in their Acne Bootcamp, followed the recommended diet, and committed to bi-weekly treatments. The results have been amazing, my comedonal acne cleared, and my skin is now so much healthier after 2 months. Even after the bootcamp, my skin is still good by keep using their products. Their products are also excellent for acne-prone skin, which gives me complete peace of mind knowing I’m using the right skincare.

Yes, when performed by our clinicians it's safe. We assess each lesion to ensure extraction is appropriate; infected or painful lesions may require drainage and specific aftercare to promote healing and prevent spread.

Will extraction cause scarring or make acne worse afterward than before?

Properly performed extractions by trained professionals minimize scarring and inflammation. Immediate release of contents can prevent deeper infection, and we provide aftercare guidance to support healing and reduce risks.

How many lesions can be extracted during one emergency visit?

Our Emergency Extraction service includes extraction of one to three lesions per 15-minute appointment. This focused approach treats urgent spots quickly; larger needs may require a full facial or follow-up.

What should I expect during and after the 15-minute appointment?

Expect a brief consultation, cleansing, and targeted extraction using sterile tools. The procedure is quick with minimal discomfort. Aftercare includes topical antiseptic, possible bandaging, and instructions to avoid picking.

Do I need to prepare or avoid anything before treatment?

No major preparation is required. Avoid heavy makeup on the area and skip retinoids or exfoliants the day of. Inform us of medications, allergies, or recent isotretinoin use, which can affect suitability.
