We typically recommend follow-ups every four to eight weeks depending on acne severity, recent treatment changes, and skin response. Your clinician will set a personalized interval to monitor progress, adjust homecare, and prevent setbacks.
No. This 30-minute follow-up focuses on in-person evaluation, homecare adjustments, and guidance only. If you want an in-clinic facial or procedure, please book an appropriate treatment appointment; we can coordinate both in the same care plan.
Bring your current skincare products, a list of medications or supplements, recent photos documenting skin progress, and notes on any reactions. This information helps our clinician accurately assess progress and recommend safe, effective homecare adjustments.
When appropriate, clinicians may adjust prescription strength, frequency, or combination therapies based on improvement or side effects. Any prescription changes follow a clinical assessment and explanation; urgent or major medication changes may require a physician consult.
Timing varies: some clients notice reduced inflammation within days, while clearer texture and fewer lesions may take four to twelve weeks. Consistent use and avoiding irritants are essential; your clinician will set realistic expectations based on your skin and treatment plan.
Yes. By controlling active acne, minimizing picking, and recommending topical or prescription agents, follow-ups reduce new scarring risk. Clinicians also advise on early treatments and referrals for targeted procedures when scars are forming or established.
