Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Eyelash Tinting.

Eyelash tints typically last four to six weeks, gradually fading as your natural lash cycle continues. Routine oil-based cleansers, frequent swimming, or sun exposure may shorten the colour; we recommend touch-ups every four to five weeks for consistent results.

Yes, Eyelash Tinting can be safe when performed correctly. We conduct a patch test beforehand and use gentle formulations. Contact lens wearers should remove lenses during treatment; disclose allergies or sensitivities so we can adjust products or recommend alternatives.

Tinting darkens the base and full length of lashes, creating the illusion of greater density and length, but it doesn't physically increase lash volume. Combined with a lash lift, tinting can amplify the appearance of curl, length and fullness.

We do not tint over lash extensions because dyes can damage or discolor them. If you've had recent lash adhesives or chemical treatments, wait until lashes are fully healed. Book a consultation so we can advise timing or safe alternatives based on your treatment history.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and avoid mascara, oil-based cleansers, or lash serums on the day. Bring contact lens case if you wear lenses. Inform us of allergies and recent eye procedures to ensure a safe, effective tinting experience.

Avoid water, steam and eye makeup for the first 24 hours to allow the dye to set fully. After 24 hours you can shower and use makeup gently. Use oil-free removers to prolong tint longevity and prevent premature fading.
