Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Venus IPL LHR Brazilian + Derriere.

Most clients report less pain than waxing; IPL feels like warm pulses with mild snapping. We use cooling and adjustable settings to minimize discomfort, and topical numbing can be applied on request for added comfort during treatments.

You’ll typically need six to eight sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. Hair growth cycles and individual skin-hair characteristics influence the schedule; our clinicians tailor a plan and adjust settings for optimal reduction.

IPL targets pigment, so the treatment is most effective on darker, coarser hairs. Lighter, gray, or very fine hairs respond less predictably. We assess hair and skin tone in consultation to set realistic expectations.

Most side effects are mild and temporary — minor redness, swelling, or sensitivity that resolves within hours to days. Rare complications like blistering or pigment changes are uncommon; patch tests and aftercare help reduce risks.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks, stop waxing or plucking, and shave the area 24–48 hours before your appointment. Discontinue retinoids and follow our specific pre-treatment instructions provided at booking.

You may notice reduced growth after the first one or two sessions, but lasting reduction usually appears after six to eight treatments. Maintenance sessions may be recommended depending on hormones and individual regrowth patterns.
