Most clients need 6–8 sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on hair thickness and growth cycle. Some may require more or fewer sessions. After the initial course, occasional maintenance annually or biannually may be recommended for lasting results.

Most people report only mild discomfort — a quick snapping or warming sensation. We use cooling tips and adjustable IPL settings to minimize pain. Topical numbing can be applied on request. Sensitivity varies, but treatments are generally well tolerated by clients.

Modern IPL can treat a range of skin tones, but effectiveness varies with pigment contrast. Advanced devices and tailored settings improve safety on darker skin. A patch test and consultation are essential to determine suitability and avoid complications.

Avoid waxing, plucking, and electrolysis for four to six weeks before treatment. Shave the area 24–48 hours prior, avoid sun exposure, and stop certain photosensitizing products. Bring medical history and medication details to your appointment.

After treatment avoid hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Protect treated skin from sun, apply soothing moisturizers or aloe, and use SPF on exposed areas. Expect temporary redness; follow clinic instructions for best healing.

You may notice hair shedding one to three weeks after a session, with gradual reduction each treatment. Significant improvement usually appears after several sessions; full desired results commonly follow the recommended course with occasional maintenance.
